![]() Amalthus experimented with blade eaters and flesh eaters before this game? seems like something that really should have been covered Addam's brothers are useless since they don't really do anything. the initial war with that other nation barely exists as a plot. another issue with the story is, much like the base game, I feel this game glosses over stuff.so rather than putting that stuff here, they really rather you play the base game ![]() hard to describe it, but I think it has to do with plot points brought up in the base game. the story does work stand alone, but it feels like it ends weirdly. I know they said you can start with this, but damn, this game blueballs you if you decide not to play the base game at some point. I actually enjoyed doing sidequests and whatnot, though it's hamstrung but the few amount of areas.XC2 could have cut down a good bit of fat in this department once again, goes to show JRPGs don't need to be this 100 hour slog to be decent. it's more tightly woven than the base game. having fewer areas allowed them to not make a lot of boring areas like the base game I also enjoyed pretty much everyone, including Bitch Pudding herself Addam is a better Rex, and Lora is literally Rex, just better in every way. having set blades is much better here, though it comes at the expense of flexibility at times NO BLADE GACHA! christ this was fucking bad in the base game.the good news is that Torna is a better game! the bad news is that I feel it suffers from some of the same issue (but not the most glaring ones) To preface, I thought the initial game was just ok. Finished the game last night, so I thought I'd post my thoughts on the game.
